This is the exclusive cover to Doctor Who #11 that I illustrated for Newbury Comics. It was the first time I got to draw the new companion, Clara Oswald and the Doctor’s updated costume so that was fun. I think using the contrast between the vintage photo and the clean, crisp, blue wood of the TARDIS really worked and made this cover unique to some of the other ones I worked on. I’ll have a few more covers to post in the next few weeks, but that’ll probably be it for Doctor Who. While at SDCC, I learned that IDW Publishing no longer has the license to produce Doctor Who comics. Obviously I was saddened by this news because I love working on Doctor Who and with my editor, Denton, at IDW.
